The Race

A long awaited colored version of this picture. I'm extremely happy about how this one turned out.

Here we see the age gap between Scar and big brother Mufasa.
The idea that I have for their relationship is a tad different than other theories. Basically, Mufasa was the only father figure that young Taka had in his life. The two were very close for a long time. After the death of his mother, and finding out some very unsettling news about his past, Taka falls into a deep depression. In this time the only person he has left to turn to (his older brother) is getting ready to assume the throne and has too much on his plate and little time for Taka anymore... thus begins the downward spiral, and Taka becomes Scar.

I love how happy Taka looks in this picture :3
